Mr. Ian Collins was elected to the Board of Trustees in November 2008 and will be up for reelection in 2012. He and wife Julie have resided in the Fountain Valley School District for over 30 years. They have three children: Jane, Iain and Jeffrey all of whom are teachers. He has over 39 years of experience in education serving as a teacher, assistant principal and principal. Ian has served the District for the past three years on the Educational Foundation, Legislative ACE Committee and Surplus Property Advisory Committees. He has four grandchildren that attend Fountain Valley Schools.
He has been awarded the "Outstanding Contribution to Education Award" by the Orange County Department of Education and also holds the "Oak Award" which was presented to him by Sowers Middle School PTA in Huntington Beach.

Mrs. Christine Allcorn was first elected to the Board of Trustees in November 2004. She and husband Marc reside in the Fulton-Tamura area and have two children. Christine graduated California State University, Long Beach with a degree in liberal arts-history and is a credentialed teacher. She has completed the rigorous 2-year “Masters in Governance” program, a continuing professional development course offered through the California School Boards Association. Mrs. Allcorn began serving her second term in December 2008 and will be up for reelection in 2012.

Mrs. Sandra Crandall was elected to the Board of Trustees in November, 2010. As a resident of Fountain Valley for over 16 years, she resides within the Moiola-Fulton boundaries. Mrs. Crandall graduated from Principia College in Illinois. She is a credentialed teacher who served the children and their families of Fountain Valley School District for 39 years prior to retirement. Mrs. Crandall volunteers at church, in the community and is a Board Member of the National Right to Work Committee. She enjoys time with her husband, Larry, three grown children and three grandchildren.

Mr. Jimmy Templin is a 25 year resident of Fountain Valley. Mr. Templin has 18 years of experience in education, serving as an instructional aide, a special education teacher, and is currently an administrator in the El Rancho Unified School District. He is happily married to his wife, Trisha, and is the proud father of three children in the Fountain Valley School District. The Templins reside in the Courreges area and enjoy spending time with family, friends, and playing a variety of sports.

Mrs. Judy Edwards, who resides in the Plavan-Masuda attendance area, was elected in 1998 and reelected in 2002, 2006 and 2010. She shall be up for re-election in 2014. Her family consists of husband Dale and children Linda and Ken, who both attended school in the Fountain Valley School District. Before her election to the board, Judy was an active volunteer at our schools, serving as PTO President at Fulton and president of the Superintendent-Parent Council. Mrs. Edwards is a retired educator, having worked as a special education teacher in the Westminster School District. Judy still is actively involved in education, currently supervising student teachers at Chapman University. She is currently serving her third term on the California School Boards Association Delegate Assembly for Region 15 and is a past president of the Orange County Chapter of CSBA. |
